●Common Courtesy:
a) Make sure that both partners have equal time both teaching and learning
the specified languages.
eg.1) For a two hour session, split into two 1 hour blocks for each language.
eg.2) Rotate the language each session
b) Respect your partner's cultural background and unique way of thinking.
Remember that the Language and Cultural Exchange Program is not just
for learning language, but also for finding out more about different cultures.
c) Please consult with the Language and Cultural Exchange Program
Coordinator at the ICC if you have any issues during the course of the program.
●Q&A:
Q1. How do you match applicants?
A1. Applicants will be matched by a "condition matching" approach - applicants
are matched according to their stated information/conditions (language
interests and abilities, etc.). However, imbalance in the number of
applicants of each registered language may lead to a matching where not
all conditions are perfectly matched.
Q2. I started the language exchange with my partner, but it has become
extremely difficult to continue because of my class workload, etc.
Do I still need to submit a report, even though I've only met my partner
a few times?
A2. Yes. All participants (regardless of how many times they met their partner)
need to submit a report between January 20th and 31st, 2012.
