Field Trip: Nikko Toshogu & Edo Wonderland - Enjoy World Cultural Heritage and feel Japanese history - 【Japanese Cultural Week】

Nikko Toshogu, a Unesco World Heritage Site, is a shrine dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu
who established the Edo Shogunate. It is also where Tokugawa Ieyasu's remains are entombed.

Edo Wonderland is a “cultural theme park” that has successfully recreated a village from
the Edo Period (1603 - 1867), complete with ninja, samurai, and geisha roaming the park.
All kinds of entertainment, including shows and parades, are held throughout the day.

Explore Japanese culture and history with Waseda students from all over the world
on this enjoyable ICC field trip!

Capacity: 70 people

Language: Schedule explanation by ICC staff will be in both
           English and Japanese.

Note) Please only apply once you have checked the date and are certain
     that you can attend on the event day, May 26th. Please avoid
     casually applying and then cancelling, as this causes significant
     inconvenience. If you become unable to attend for unavoidable
     reasons after applying, please inform the ICC before the result
     announcement date on May 11th.

Fee: 3,000 yen
  (after the half of the actual fee has been subsidized by the Waseda ICC)

★Fee includes: Roundtrip transportation (chartered bus), snack,
             and entrance fees to Nikko Toshogu and Edo Wonderland

Application Deadline: May 11th (Fri), 9:00am
                *In the event of a large number of applicants,
                 a lottery will be held.

Result announcement: May 11th (Fri)
               A mail will be sent to the email address you registered.
               Please make sure your mail storage quota has not been reached.

Fee Payment Dates: May 14th (Mon), 15th (Tue)
              ※Details on the method of payment will be sent to participants.

Cancellation Fee: Based on the travel agency's rules, the following
                cancellation fees will apply according to the travel
                expenses(3,000 yen).

If you cancel after the trip has started or if you cancel without
any notice, 100% of the travel expenses (3,000 yen) will be charged.

participants.
