While you're welcome to come to the lounge anytime, usually eating
in the lounge is not allowed. However, for the lunch events, if
you are looking for a place to eat, or busy during the afternoon
ICC event hours, this is a great chance to casually meet people
over a meal at the ICC. Just don't forget to bring something to eat!

Are you interested in Spain, Spanish-speaking countries, and their international relations?
A diplomat from the Spanish embassy and a manager from the Instituto Cervantes in Tokyo
will come to the ICC to give lectures and hold a Q&A session with students during our Spanish
Week. Take this exceptional opportunity to learn more about Spain and the culture and
international relations of Spanish-speaking countries.
The first guest will be the Deputy Head of Mission from the Spanish Embassy, and the second
guest will be the Cultural Manager from the Instituto Cervantes. The lectures will both be held
in English, however, questions in Spanish will also be possible during the Q&A session.
Anyone interested in joining is highly encouraged to come and participate!

4:30-5:05pm Lecture by the Deputy Head of Mission at the Spanish Embassy

5:05-5:40pm Lecture by the Cultural Manager from the Instituto Cervantes
Theme: "Cervantes Institute's contribution to International
Relations among Spanish-speaking countries and Japan"

With a Law degree and a Master's in International Politics,
Enrique Asorey has developed his professional career with several
postings in Seoul, Manila, NATO in Brussels, the U.N. in Geneva,
and in Washington, including Director for Cultural Relations
Agreements at the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Area Director for Economic
Relations with Asia-Pacific, and Deputy Director General for
International Security Issues, among others.
Ms. Teresa Iniesta
Cultural Manager at Instituto Cervantes, Spanish Cultural Center in Tokyo
<Profile>
With a Bachelor’s in Journalism and Humanity Science and a Master's degree
in Cultural Management, Teresa Iniesta has developed her professional
career in Madrid, New York, and Rome before arriving to Tokyo. She has worked
for many cultural institutions (Carnegie Hall, Marlborouhg Gallery, ALAS)
and United Nations agencies (UNDP and FAO).

When it comes to symbols of Spain, the country of passion,
you might think of Flamenco, bullfighting, and soccer.
However, these are just a few of the areas that represent
Spain's rich cultural diversity.
As part of the ICC's Spanish Week, the ICC will hold the Spanish
Travel Cafe. For this event, a speaker from the National Tourist
Office of Spain will introduce the rich appeal of Spain's diverse
regions, the influence of Islamic culture in Spain over 8 centuries,
useful travel and tourism information, and more.
Additionally, Spanish students at Waseda will also share about Spain.
Ask any questions you like and learn directly from those who have
lived in Spain. Join this event and discover Spanish culture!
