Our minds are usually filled with all kinds of thoughts: information
from outside such as TV, the internet, printed media, what our teachers,
parents, and friends said to us, and our feelings and reactions to them.
If you learn how to calm your mind and listen to the voice from within,
then you will find it much easier to concentrate on the 'here and now',
and it will gradually become clearer what is the right thing for you to
do at every moment.

These workshops are for those who are interested in meditation, and you
will learn some exercises that you can use at home for regular practice.
The first workshop will be more basic, while the second will feature
more advanced techniques. Participation for either or both is welcome
for both beginner and experienced mediators.

For these sessions, a Brazilian guest with wide experience teaching
meditation internationally, and a part time instructor at Waseda
specializing in intercultural communication, will coordinate the events.
After trying meditation, share your thoughts and impressions with the
instructors and other participants as you reflect on the meditation time.

*Note: This is a meditation activity not related to religion.

*Participants are asked to turn off their cell phones during the event.
